After my 75 Challenge…

My mom asked me the other day “What are you going to do when you’re done with your 75 craft project challenge? Do another with new crafts?”
Nope. As much as I love crafting, this has all been a little stressful, trying to complete enough in time, subtracting cost of materials to my monthly budget, etc.
I will continue to craft and I will continue to post on this blog. I’m thinking more like try to do 2 projects a month and more if I can, but not make it the entire focus of my free time. I also plan on posting some projects I did before I started the challenge, because I’ve got some cool stuff.
I’ve learned so much while doing this 75 challenge, I want to share it, so I think the main direction of this blog after the new year will be a guide. I’m not sure what I want to call it yet, but I want to have each post be a guide to some aspect of crafting. “Crafty girl’s guide to hardware stores” or “Modern crafty warrior queen’s guide to a sewing machine” Again, I’m still working on the title.
I’ve had a few inquiries about buying some of my projects too. I’ve duplicated and sold some to a few friends, but I’m not sure how big I want it to get. I’ve thought about an Etsy shop, but I have concerns. What if I don’t have time to make everything I’m selling and still keep up with school and work? What if I don’t make enough money to quit my job, but don’t have enough time to do both? If I do eventually make enough money from an Etsy shop to quit my job, how long will it last? Will I quit my job than 6 months later, my popularity weans and I’m not selling enough for it to be worth it? What if I start to hate crafting because I’m obligated to do such a high, consistent, repetitive ratio of it?
See? I’d have to have solid proof if I set up an Etsy shop, people would buy my stuff, I’d have enough time, I’d have enough money, and my love of making things wouldn’t fade.
I’m also planning on starting another blog with another 75 in 5 months challenge, but not crafting related. Right now I’m leaning towards 75 workouts in 5 months, because I would like to make fitness more of a routine for me.
But then I’m worried keeping up two blogs would be too much for me and one would suffer and never get updated.
I’m still a little up in the air about what I will do, but I will keep everybody posted. Opinions are appreciated!
